Well Hello There,
Happy to have you back. Today we are going to go over the notes that popped up for week 8. I will say, following the HEAVINESS of week 7, I barely even took notes in week 8. And I am now updating this in week 9 (damn near week 10) bc I have just disconnected all together pretty much. But I am going to give you what I got 🫡 One of the themes that arose was that HAPPINESS is not just an "emotion" - something for you to feel. But Happiness is an ACTION. It is more a verb than anything else. Happiness, like love, is something that you have to participate in and there is a reciprocation to it. We all wanna "be happy", but are we doing things to bring that about... even in the smallest of ways?? I was also working through my balance of Contentment, Acceptance and Allowance. Everything can't "be a thing"! I can't need to fix everything. Everything can't be a project. Something has to be good enough as is. Gotta just let some stuff be OK. Otherwise all your (or my) energy is spent on mending and improving AND IT IS EXHAUSTING. Instead all that- enjoy what it, for what it is, how it is!! Next up - a reoccurring theme - I AM SO READY TO BE DONE WITH THE MORNING PAGES. When you go through a process like this, there will inevitably be things that you make life long habits and weave into your daily existence. BRO! Morning pages won't be one for Janet. I can see the "allure" or the "method in the madness"; esply if you are a blocked writer, or never journal and sort your thoughts, or even if you have a current problem/issue to work through. YES I GET IT. But just to write for s's and g's... THREE PAGES, nah man... I'm OUT!! So I do my pages daily and I try to have the most uplifted vibe around the experience (playing music, sitting in the sun etc), but I am COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS!! I had come up another "old under current". It is the current of having to FORCE THINGS. Or the vibe of having to do/acquire everything all at once. While working through this I can clearly see that it is tied to past abandonment issues, being forgotten and left out and reoccurring situations of being lied to/renig'd on. I don't have a profound "AH HA" that broke through and resolved this... but I saw and felt it come up and I am STILL working through releasing the conditions and circumstances that created the under current to begin with. LASTLY, I will leave you with the note " don't cry over an already baked cake". I have heard this in the LOA Community and it means that our current lives are manifestations of all our old thoughts, actions, emotions etc. All that has already happened (been baked) and you can't change the cake ingredients now. BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO IS, start to gather some new ingredients (new elevated thoughts, actions, decisions, emotions etc) so in the mths and years to come the cake that is baked is more to your liking!! But as it is PRESENTLY... "don't cry over this already baked cake". Just start making a new one while you choke this one down LMBOOOOO! Til next time 🫶🏾 Xo - JG
